What's New
What changed in each update of Time in Status Reports. The newest update is at the top.
Update 1 · October 2026
Time in Status now comes from Votazz.
New look and working links
- Time in Status has the Votazz logo and its own icon in Jira's Apps menu.
- Help links go to docs.votazz.co, and support is at support@votazz.co.
- The app opens on the Time in Status report.
- Links that open a new tab work again: Documentation, Contact Us, issue keys and help links. Cancelling Jira's "Opening external page" prompt is no longer shown as an error.
Transition reports
- Status Transition Count, Dates and Details include the To day.
- West of UTC they no longer count the evening before the From day; east of UTC the first hours of the From day now count.
- In time zones where daylight saving time starts at midnight, the first hour after the To day is no longer counted.
- Per Person Status Transitions reports open when a change has no author; such changes are shown as "Unknown".
See Transition reports.
Time grain and assignee reports
Time in Status Per Time Grain, Time with Assignee per Status and Time in Status per Assignee count exactly the chosen days west of UTC. Before, they counted an extra day before From and dropped the To day. This also holds on days when daylight saving time skips midnight.
See Time in Status Per Time Grain.
Time in Status report
- Start and Due dates show the same day as in Jira, in every time zone. For some users these dates move by one day and now match Jira.
- Shared links keep their Group By, and links with "last N days" are counted from the day they are opened, like saved reports.
- Grouping by Parent works again.
- A misspelt JQL search shows Jira's error under the query box.
- Share Link has a Copy button next to Ok: one click copies the report's link, and the dialog says "Copied".
- A report, gadget or JSON data feed that names a field Time in Status can't show, for example a field deleted since the report or link was saved, opens without that field. Before, the report froze and the feed returned an error.
Saved reports
If Jira doesn't answer while the app reads your saved reports, saving or deleting a report stops with a message. Before, your other saved reports could be erased. Reports lost that way before can't be restored. More > Saved Reports lists and deletes your reports also when Jira doesn't return your user profile. If your reports can't be loaded, More > Saved Reports says so instead of showing "No Saved Reports".
CSV exports
- Quotes are escaped, so Jira text can no longer break its cell or turn into a spreadsheet formula.
- The Status Transition Details export keeps every letter of names and dates.
Dashboard gadgets
A Time Reports or SLA Report gadget whose setup was cancelled explains how to set it up. The SLA Report gadget no longer says it is in beta. See Dashboard gadgets.
Settings
- Global Settings > Access saves the users and groups you pick. Before, closing the picker emptied the list, so everyone kept access.
- The Access picker and Display Assignees stay inside the window on smaller screens, so you can remove every entry.
Faster screens
Each screen loads only its own code, the first search starts sooner, and settings load in parallel. If a chart can't load, the chart area says so and the rest of the screen keeps working.
Also
- Warnings stay until you close them, and the same warning within 3 seconds shows only once. "Search too wide" closes by itself. Confirmations close by themselves after 8 seconds.
- Images in What's New and on the renewal page load again, and the What's New bell counts only Time in Status' own news.
- A Links Hierarchy link shared from an earlier version opens Links Hierarchy with its link direction again.
- The app no longer writes tokens, account IDs or report details to its logs. This includes the JSON feed.
- Unassigned and other empty users show an empty avatar instead of a broken image.
- The Status Transitions and Assignee Transitions panels on the issue screen are readable in the dark theme.
