What happens if I have to uninstall Threaded Comments for Jira?

Your comments are safe. If you ever need to uninstall Threaded Comments, all of your comments (even the threaded ones) will remain intact on the correct Jira issue.

If you uninstall Threaded Comments, your comments will be displayed in the default Jira chronological order.

Can I expand and collapse any of my comments?

After installing Threaded Comments for Jira, users can expand and collapse threaded discussions.

Expanding and collapsing threaded comments only applies to the view of the person viewing the issue.

Are there any performance issues if we have long comment chains?

Nope. We run performance tests with the app and have gotten Atlassian’s approval.

Does Threaded Comments work with Jira Work Management?

Yes! Threaded Comments Jira Cloud works in Jira Work Management Cloud too.

Does Threaded Comments work with Jira Product Discovery?

Not right now.

Should we make a Cloud version? Send us note if you think we should.

Can we turn Threaded Comments on or off for specific projects?

Not right now. We’re working on updating this.

Can customers use Threaded Comments in our public-facing Jira Service Management portal?

Not right now. Threaded Comments are only available to agents on the agent screen. Customers and portal users will not see Threaded Comments.
